Burglars steal silver crown from temple

Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into Adishakti Pattaladamma and Kattimuneshwara Swamy Temple at D. Devaraj Urs Colony in Vishweshwaranagar 2nd stage, have decamped with the silver crown placed on the head of the idol.

On Nov. 12 night, priest Chinnaswamy closed the doors of the temple and went home. When he came the next day morning, he found the lock of the front door of the temple broken and on entering it, he found the 600 grams silver crown worth about Rs. 60,000 placed on the head of the idol of Pattaladamma stolen and lodged a complaint at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.
