Burqa-clad women steal silk sarees at KSIC showroom

CCTV camera captures the crime

Mysuru:  Two burqa-clad women, who had come to the KSIC showroom in Silk factory premises in the guise of customers, have stolen two Mysuru Silk sarees worth about Rs.49,000 by diverting the attention of  the sales staff.

The incident came to light, when the staff checked the stock on June 10 and found two Mysuru Silk sarees short. When they checked the CCTV footages, they found that two burqa clad women entering the showroom on June 7 and looking at various sarees and stealing two silk sarees by diverting the attention of the staff. The whole incident has been caught on the CCTV camera installed in the showroom. Based on the CCTV footage, staff R. Mohan Kumar has lodged a complaint at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.
