Bengaluru: The President of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha, Vatal Nagaraj has called for a State-wide bandh on Apr.12 opposing the formation of Cauvery Water Management Board.

“We are actually against the idea of calling for a bandh. But when Tamil Nadu parties call for a State-wide bandh, we have to counter it. Otherwise only their voice will be heard and ours will be suppressed,” said Vatal Nagaraj.

He was staging a protest in Attibele on the border of Tamil Nadu yesterday, where he was detained, according tto mediareports.
