CAR Constable ends life

Mysuru: A Constable attached to City Armed Reserve (CAR) allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his quarters in Jyothinagar here on Tuesday night.

He leaves behind his wife Shivamma and four daughters.

The deceased is Mahadevu (46), a native of Kempaiahnahundi village in T. Narasipur taluk, who was working as a CAR Constable in Mysuru. Mahadevu was suffering from illness since a few months, according to family members. On Tuesday night after his family members had dinner and slept, Mahadevu hanged himself at the shed behind the quarters and the incident came to light in the morning.

Nazarbad Inspector Mahadevaswamy and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where the post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
