Car hits road divider on Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway

One killed, three injured

Ramanagar: One person was killed while three others sustained serious injuries when the car in which they were travelling hit the road divider in front of Chamundeshwari Hospital, near Koluru Gate in Channapatna taluk on Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Manjesh (28), the driver of the car and a native of Maddur.

The three injured persons have been admitted to Chamundeshwari Hospital. The Tata Indica car was coming from Mysuru side, when Manjesh lost control of the vehicle, which hit the road divider. Due to the impact, the car has been badly damaged and the accident resulted in traffic jam on the Expressway.

Channapatna Rural Police visited the spot and a case has been registered at Channapatna Traffic Police Station.
