Case registered against wine shop owner

Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have registered a case against a wine shop owner for selling liquor by violating rules and regulations.

The person against whom the case has been registered has been identified as the owner of Manikanta Wines on Koorgalli-Belavadi Main Road here.

Following complaints from the public, that loose liquor was being sold in the wine shop and customers were allowed to consume liquor in the wine shop premises, Vijayanagar Police conducted an inspection and found that the owner was indeed violating the rules despite Model Poll Code of Conduct in force, following which, Vijayanagar ASI Dhanraj registered a case.
