She leaves behind her son Vijaykumar, daughter-in-law, grandson and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday morning, according to family sources.

Mysuru: Shankar (82), retired Administrator at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing and a resident of Gokulam, passed away on Jan. 1 in city. Shankar was responsible for the employees’ pension scheme, implementing rooster system for SC/ST staff and was successful in bringing various welfare schemes for employees.

Mahalinganna, she leaves behind two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed on Friday evening.

Chamamma (86), wife of late Papanna and a resident of 6th Main Road at Vinayakanagar (Paduvarahalli) , passed away yesterday in city. She leaves behind her sons Madappa and Basavaraju, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.

M.V. John (95), retired Professor, St. Philomena’s College and a resident of Belavatta, passed away on Dec. 30 in city. He leaves behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral was held at Infant Jesus Church Cemetery in Belavatta here on Dec. 31, according to family sources.
