Caustic remarks on PM Modi triggers wordy duel

January 25, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Pandemonium was witnessed for sometime as retired Professor of University of Mysore B.P. Mahesh Chandra Guru made caustic remarks referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, riling up a section of the audience at the Mega Convention of State Representatives of Karnataka Rajya Kayaka Samajagala Okkoota at IEI in city on Monday.

The irked Ganiga leaders from Chamarajanagar, Jayaram Shetty, Ankashetty and several  others picked up a wordy duel with Prof. Guru, creating a tensed atmosphere for sometime.

Prof. Guru questioned the leaders — Are you Modi’s slaves? You should oppose ideologically, not by resorting to duel, which enraged the leaders further, who rushed towards dais and took Prof. Guru to task, besides insisting to tender an apology.

Former MLC K.C. Puttasiddashetty, also the State President of Karnataka Rajya Kayaka Samajagala Okkoota, who intervened, promised to tender apology on behalf of Prof. Guru, thus bringing the situation under control.

Earlier, as the situation heated up, the peeved leaders said, “it was improper to mix politics in the meeting that is convened to discuss about the development of Kayaka Samaja (working communities). It is also not right to criticise Modi and hence, the speech (of Prof. Guru) should                       be stopped.”

Even though Prof. Guru made a bid to pacify the leaders with his own version, commotion continued. The leaders, who refused to budge, shot back at Prof. Guru asking — Has the society progressed even 75 years after independence? Is it right to seek Nehruvian style administration?

Prof. Guru argued that ‘Globalisation is only helping haves, while the banks are not disbursing loan to others. The Government is only interested in votes than development. The Government is being controlled by ‘priestly class and capitalists’, hence, Shudras and Dalits remain without any progress.  The rulers have turned a blind eye towards upliftment of working classes who form the backbone of economy.

Prof. Guru questioned, ‘Why working classes should continue with the traditional occupations that denote castes, sowing the seeds of inequality. They should discontinue such occupations to bring social reforms.’

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been killing Dalits, hardworking and helpless people through privatisation. We want Nehruvian style leadership, as he had nationalised all the sectors thus helping the society by creating jobs. But, Modi is indulged in creating a evil system by selling all to capitalists,” said Prof. Mahesh Chandra Guru.

  1. Howdy, Modi! says:

So the remarks about the wife deserter and dynastic person-recently we knew that his brother was given VIP treatment in Mysore, when he was met with a very minor accident ( recall how Modi and Amit Shah ridiculed Sonia Gandhi about Gandhi dynasty. Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah is virtual the CM of Gujarat), pissed off some slavish followers of Modi? Well done, Prof Guru!

  2. Avukader Kutty Naha says:

Narendra Modi does not want truth to be revealed. Whether it is the China incursion recently into Himachal Pradesh, and losing yet more territories, or the BBC Panorama Programme, where he is accused of doing nothing as the CM when Muslims in Gujarat were ethically cleansed.
The Western countries should reintroduce his Visa ban, as they did a few years ago.

  3. Aam Aadmi Team says:

We in New Deli know how corrupt Modi can be. He has a dynasty too-his brother’s family. We found that out vin a recent incident ion Mysore.
His second in command Amit Shah has a son, Jay Shah totally corrupt and behaves like another Sanjay Gandhi in Gujarat.
Of course the 40% Commission government in Karnataka led by Bommai.
    The BJP must be defeated.

  4. Raampur Ka Laxman!! says:

Now, Narendra Modi dressed up in a Marwari turban, the ones that Marwari loan sharks have while they chase the borrowers escaping from them!
The tribal woman Droupadi Murmu taling also the salute.
The parade showed rickety tanks , puny and weak as compared to the German Leopard 2 tanks, and the airforce jet fighters , no match to China stealth fighters and their hypersonic missiles.
China grabbed yet more territories from India, in a recent incursion into Himachal Pradesh. That news was suppressed by Modi, while it was freely available in the West.
As posters said, good time too about the BBC Panorama Programme about Modi and the murders of Gujarat Muslims when he was the CM. That is banned from viewing in India, but more view at home through other means!
    Jai Jai Hind!!

  5. Sam says:

Narendra Modi blamed and ridiculed Nehru for giving away territories to China in the war with China.
He said he will do better by making Xi Linping his friend and visited him at Beijing 20 times when he was the Gujarat CM, and invited him to Mahabalipuram, near Chennai, dressing himself as a Tamilian! The result: Xi Linping went back home and invaded India and India lost a large swathe of territories 2/3 years ago. More recently , China invaded again Himachal Pradesh border and occupied again some territories.
The truth: Nehru lost Aksai Chin, the Ladakh area mostly desert, where as Modi lost fertile swathes of land s there as well as in Himachal Pradesh.
When people look at him in this Republic Day Parade, dressed in a turban, yes looking like a private money lender Marwari , who one could see wandering looking for his victims who borrowed money from him at an enormous interest and are hiding!
Silly Modi with a silly turban, standing near a silly ST woman who became the president of this silly country-both taking salutes, looking at military vehicles which could not defend Indian borders!!

Simply , rotten mindset of this Prof. Grow up. Your speech should not be against a person or Party. If that is the case, think about liberalization brought during Manmohan Singh timeframe.

  7. Sam says:

Why we need SC in our nation when BBC can pass judgements to decide who is guilty? Abd let al qaeda be the executioner of these judgements

  8. Howdy, Modi! says:

    Hey Sam
Stupid, not to understand the SC in your country. It cannot pass judgement on your PM without a case being brought against hi.
BBC a news medium can examineModi’s record as the CM of gujarat, and it has done.
Why has India and Modi not filed a case against the BBC in British SC? They will not , as they know further evidence will come out against him.
    Dim witted India.
