New Delhi: Setting all speculations to rest, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam dates for 10th and 12th standards for the year 2021.
Accordingly, the 10th standard Board exam will be held from May 4 to June 7 and 12th standard exam will take place from May 4 to 11. To ensure easy access to the complete subject-wise date sheets and time-table, the CBSE 10th and 12th date sheet 2021 is made available on the official website cbse.nic.in. As many as 30 lakh students would appear for these two examinations this year.
According to a press release, the Board Exams for Class 12 students would take place in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The morning shift will commence from 10.30 am till 1.30 pm. Similarly, the afternoon papers will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Students of both Class 10 and 12 would be given additional time of 15 minutes for reading the question paper.
3-month study plan
The release said the 10th and 12th exam time-table has been released 3 months in advance to enable the students to get enough time to tweak their study plan and complete their preparation for the upcoming board exams, especially keeping in mind the pandemic.
Well-spaced exam for key subjects
The Board has given sufficient time between the exams of two main subjects in both the classes. This has been done to reduce exam stress and to enable students to prepare for the exams in a better way. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic and its guidelines, no school staff who had worked in morning shift would be given duty in the afternoon shift.
Exam to be complete in 39 days
CBSE Board Exam 2021 for both Class 10 and 12 students would be completed in 39 days this time. During this period, CBSE would conduct exam for 75 subjects for Class 10 students and 111 subjects for Class 12 students.
