Chamundi Hill visitors warned

July 18, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Despite a ban on single-use plastics within the limits of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), there has been a worrying increase in their usage, especially at religious sites.

Devotees visiting Chamundi Hill are urged to refrain from using plastic, particularly during the ongoing Ashada month. This includes a strict prohibition on plastic cups and plates for distributing Prasadam. MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rahman Shariff has warned that fines will be imposed on violators as per rules.

The public is reminded of the importance of adhering to these regulations to support Mysuru’s mission to become plastic-free.
