Mysore/Mysuru: As the State Government is planning to set up Chemotherapy Day Care Centres in all districts, Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has directed the Health and Family Welfare Department Principal Secretary to take necessary  measures for setting  up a Chemotherapy Centre in NR Constituency, Mysuru.

This comes as a follow up action on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s budget presentation during which the CM had announced setting up of Chemotherapy Centres in all district headquarters in association with Bengaluru-based Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, popularly known as Kidwai Hospital.

With all the major Government Hospitals concentrated along KRS Road (at Metagalli), the Health Department, acting on the directions of  the Health Minister, is said to have planned to establish the Chemotherapy Centre at Mysuru in NR Constituency, which does not have any major Government Hospital.
