St. Philomena’s FGC helped by a goal each by right-out Syed (40th) and centre-forward Tamim (52nd) registered a facile 2-0 win over All India Speech & Hearing Institute (AIISH), Mysuru and entered the semi-final league in the Chief Justice Hombegowda Inter-collegiate Football Tournament 2017 being organised at University Football Grounds here yesterday

Results: Quarter-finals: St. Philomena’s FGC 2(Syed 40, Tamim 52) bt AIISH, Mysuru 0, MICA 2 (Sridhar 5, Rakesh 8) bt Yuvaraja’s College 0, Kautilya FGC 3 (Hemanth, Jeevan, Steiner) bt PES (Mandya) 1 (Karan) (Full time 0-0, via tie-breaker), De Paul FGC 4  (Naveen, Arun, Nikkam, Muhazin) bt SBRR Mahajana FGC 1 (Nitin Siddu).
