Children Dasara Contests

Mysuru: The Children Dasara Sub-Committee  and Department of Public Instruction are jointly conducting various competitions for primary and high school children of the city  and district as part of Makkala Dasara on Oct.12 and 13 at Sarada Vilas College Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here.

Interested students may register their names at the Office of Block Education Officer (North), Old Office of DDPI, behind Government ITI College, Bengaluru Road. The following competition will be held as part of the celebrations.

Fancy Dress competition on Oct.12

Competition for students of class 1 to 4 will be held at 11 am, for class 5 to 8 at 12 noon, for class 8 to 10 at 1 pm and for special children from class 1 to 10 at 2 pm. Contact Nodal Officers Nagendra (94822-19345) or Shubha (93806-17927) for details.   

Drawing and Painting on Oct.12

Drawing and Painting competition for students of class 1 to 4 (Topic: Uttama Parisara) at 11.30 am; Class 5 to 8 (Topic: Naada Habba Dasara) at 12 noon; Class 8 to 10 (Topic: Dasara) at 1 pm; Special children of class 1 to 10 (Topic: Prakruti) at 2 pm.

Group Dance on Oct.12  

Group Dance contest will be held on Oct.12 from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm for in the following categories: Class 1 to 4; Class 5 to 8 and Class 8 to 10 and special children of class 1 to 10.

Students can perform dance for the duration of 8 to 10 minutes. About 6 to 8 students can perform in a group. They can perform for folk and patriotic songs. Interested may contact the Programme Co-ordinators Jayanthi (99001-02777) or Flora Jayanthi (90193-95415) .

Science Exhibition on Oct.12 and 13

A Science Exhibition will be held for students of Class 1 to 4; Class 5 to 8 and Class 8 to 10 and special children of class 1 to 10 on Oct.12 and 13. Contact Manjula (80502-65900), Shankar (99868-77995) or Narendra (98806-26037).
