Chinnabuddi alias Military Somanna (74), an ex-Serviceman and a resident of Alaturu village in Nanjangud taluk, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in city following brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife Mahadevamma, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Chinnabuddi had served in the Indian Army for about 25 years at Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and other places before retiring. He had also served at the State Bank of India.

Last rites were performed at his native place this afternoon, according to family sources.
