Mysore/Mysuru: The poor quality and unscientific civil works carried out by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) in front of KSRTC sub-urban bus stand  has once again attracted the ire of tax-paying citizens.

It may be recalled here that Star of Mysore had recently reported the poor quality of works carried out by the MCC ahead of Prime Minister’s visit to Mysuru.

The MCC swung into action immediately but the corrective action they took following the report was pathetic. After City Corporation officials visited the spot, the potholes were filled with mud and now following the rains the roads are slushy with no place for the water to drain out. They have just dug a pit-like trench around a big tree and allowed water to flow out.

As a result, the water now stagnates in the newly provided trench around the tree. The citizens who pass through this road are cursing the MCC as the place has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The citizens, who appreciated the MCC when it asphalted the city roads ahead of PM’s visit, are now venting their ire against the civic body for its shoddy work.
