City artist’s expo in Bhutan

May 23, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru: To conserve the heritage, Dr. Prashanth, an artist from Mysuru city, has organised an exhibition of artefacts to spread the pride of Mysore Kingdom, at The International Cultural Fest and Cultural Exchange-2026, scheduled to be held in Bhutan on May 28.

Unfortunately, city’s heritage buildings, murals and rare art works have reached their dilapidated state due to negligence of those in the administration. The cultural heritage that reached its pinnacle during princely era is now reaching its nadir in this democratic era, he said.

Dr. Prashanth has so far exhibited his art works at 16 countries including England, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, at his own expense, without any Government grants, with the only intention of reaching the pride of culture and tradition to other parts of the world.
