City Congress pays tribute to former President

Mysore/Mysuru: City Congress unit paid tributes to former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, who passed away yesterday, by observing silence for a minute and offering floral tributes to the portrait of the late President at Congress Bhavan, near City Railway Station here  this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, former MP R. Dhruvanarayan said that the late President was one of the greatest politicians of the country and added that his death is a tremendous loss to the nation.

He further said that late Pranab Mukherjee never had a black spot in his 50 year political career and added that the former President has brought in many people-friendly schemes when he was the Finance Minister.

City Congress President R. Murthy, District President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar, KPCC Women’s Wing State President Dr. Pushpa Amaranth, former Mayor Ayub Khan and others were present.
