City institutions sign MoUs to assist students

Mysuru: Various educational institutions in city including the University of Mysore have tied up with several Industries and Institutes to help students in research collaborations.

BPBIM ties up with Gopika Agarbathi

Bhavan’s Priyamvada Birla Institute of Management (BPBIM), 1st Stage, Vijayanagar, Mysuru, has signed MoU with Gopika Agarbathi Industries for collaboration towards student progression at BPBIM.

Narasimha Murthy, Chairman,                                                                BVB Mysuru Kendra, exchanged the MoU in the presence of Dr. A.T. Bhashyam, Director, BPBIM, Prof. Gayithri, Registrar, BPBIM and Dr. Sathyanarayana, Principal.

GSSSIETW ties up with Bluechink Technologies

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed between GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru and Bluechink Technologies, Bengaluru, at a programme organised by the Department of Information Science and Engineering.

 The signatories of the MoU were Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Deepak S. Naik,  Director, Bluechink Technologies and Dr. Reshma Banu, Professor and Head, Department of ISE, GSSSIETW.

Deliverables of MoU include exposure of students to real time industry opportunities; a skill-based vocational training centre to be established to impart industry training, hands-on workshop and training on topics related to curriculum. 

NIE signs MoU with Entelika

The Department of Information Science and Engineering, the National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Entelika, Mysuru, recently to impart training to students in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.  It also provides opportunity to carry-out internship and project work at Entelika for UG and PG students and focus on research collaborations.

Dr. G. Ravi, Principal and Dr. P. Devaki, Head, Department of Information Science and Engineering, NIE and D. Nagaswetha, Managing Director, Entilika signed the MoU.

UoM-GSITI collaboration

The GSI Training Institute (GSITI) and University of Mysore (UoM) has entered into an MoU for collaboration of Research Programmes. GSITI team led by Ch. Venkateswara Rao, DDG, GSITI & Head, M-V, Hyderabad, along with Dr. Taraknath Pal, Director, TC and D.G. Madhusudhan, Senior Geologist, met the University team consisting of Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, Vice- Chancellor, Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, Prof. S. Mahendra Kumar, Director, CIST, Prof. N. K. Loknath, Director, PMEB, Dr. C. Amruthavalli and other faculty members.

Both the teams held discussions regarding the higher academic excellence for GSI officers at University of Mysore and also for training and expertise sharing to the students/research scholars and faculty of University. During interaction, the VC emphasised the importance of symbiotic collaborative trainings and research.
