City remembers Nation’s Hero Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnan

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of ‘Yuva Bharath and Veer Savarkar Yuva Balaga’ celebrated the 43rd birth anniversary of martyred soldier Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnan by lighting wax candles at Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Circle (Hotel Metropole circle) here on Sunday.

The members, holding portraits of Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnan, paid tributes to the martyr by raising slogans hailing his sacrifice for the cause of the nation during the Mumbai attacks in 2009.

They urged the MCC to install a bust of Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnan and to name a Circle or a road after him.

Corporator Pramila Bharath, BJP leaders B.M. Raghu and Jogi Manju, leaders Vikram Iyengar, Rakesh Bhat, Ajay Shastri, Sachin, Lohith, Gururaj Shetty, Apoorva Suresh, Chakrapani and others were present.
