City’s Rea Achaiah took part in the 57th National Roller Skating Championship at Visakhapatnam from Dec.18 to 23 and won four gold medals in the Championship.

She won the yellow metal in the following events: 10000 meters Rink Elimination Race, 10000 meters Road Elimination Race, Rink 10000 meters Point to Point Race and 3 x 1000 meters Relay.

Rea is also an International Skater and she had won two bronze medals for India in Asian Championship last year.

So far, she has taken part in nine National Championships and has won 19 gold medals, five silver medals and four                              bronze medals.

A 1st year student of engineering at Vidyavardhaka Engineering College, Vijayanagar, Rea is the daughter of Kadyamada Arun Achaiah and Priya Achaiah, residents of Vijayanagar 2nd Stage in Mysuru.
