City youth’s short film selected for National Science Film Fest

Mysore/Mysuru: A short film titled ‘Biodiversity of Tripura’ produced and directed by N. Shivamurthy of Mysuru has been selected for the 10th National Science Film Festival of India.

The Film Fest, organised by Tripura State Council for Science & Technology and Vigyan Prasar, will be held virtually at Agartala, the Capital city of Tripura, from Nov. 24 to 27.

Shivamurthy worked under the guidance of Arron Menezes, Junior Research Officer, Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), Manasagangothri, Mysuru, for the short film which throws light on the biodiversity of Tripura. The 8-minute film is among the best three films chosen under the ‘Destination of Tripura’ category.

“I am very happy that the short movie, which is my first attempt, has been selected for National-level Film Fest,” said an elated Shivamurthy.
