Former FKCCI Chairman demands formation of Bunts and Billava Development Corporations

Mysore/Mysuru: Former FKCCI (Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries) Chairman Sudhakar S. Shetty has demanded formation of Bunts and Billava Development Corporations.

Making an appeal to Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Sudhakar S. Shetty said that Bunts is a major community in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi with Tulu as their mother tongue.

Maintaining that Bunts form a sizeable population in the State, he urged the CM to announce a development corporation for      the community.

Shetty also sought a development corporation for Billava community, which also forms a sizeable population in the coastal districts.
