Mysuru: City’s Agri Scientist Dr. Vasanth Kumar Thimakapura has been invited to attend the Social Business Academia Conference – 2019 to be held at Berlin, Germany, on Nov. 5 and 6, organised by the Yunus Centre.

 Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohammud Yunus has personally invited Dr. Vasanth Kumar to present his social business model at Berlin conference. He will be presenting his paper on “Farmers’ Empowerment – A Successful Green Grameen Experiment” which is an innovative way of business to empower the farmers and to increase their income several folds.

Dr. Thimakapura will proceed from there to University of Greenwich in London to sign an MoU for a collaborative research on Papaya Ring spot virus and other virus disease management. He will also be visiting Rothamstead Research Station and other institutes and delivering lectures during his week-long visit in United Kingdom.
