Mysuru: City’s Manjunath Hebbar, a 65-year-old marathon runner, will be taking part in the Ladakh Full Marathon 2026, scheduled to be held on Sept. 13 at Leh, Ladakh.
A former banker, Manjunath Hebbar has successfully completed four full marathons and continues to inspire people of all age groups through his dedication, discipline and unwavering passion for long-distance running. His participation in one of the world’s highest-altitude marathons is a remarkable testament to the fact that age is no barrier to pursuing one’s passion and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Karnataka Bank, former employers of Manjunath, has come forward to sponsor Manjunath for the upcoming event.
The Ladakh Full Marathon, covering a distance of 42.195 km, is renowned for its breathtaking Himalayan landscape and the unique challenge of running at high altitude. The event attracts enthusiastic runners from across India and around the world.
