City’s MMA fighters win laurels at National Championship

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters of Academy of Martial Science, Mysuru, who participated in the MMA National Championship in Bubaneshwar, Orissa recently, have bagged a Silver and two Bronze medals for the State.

Around 200 MMA fighters from 24 States participated in the championships.

Results: Kavyashree: Bronze Medal-Female Straw Weight; Sathvik- Bronze Medal-Bantam Weight; Yashas-       Silver Medal-Feather Weight; Darshan- Quarter Finalist-Fly Weight.

Interestingly, Kavya is the first female MMA fighter from Mysuru to have achieved this feat for the second time in a row after Bengaluru open MMA Championships. They are trained by Kru.Vikram at AMS.
