Civic honour for Dr. C.N. Manjunath on Feb. 26

Mysore/Mysuru: Leaders of various organisations have resolved to organise a civic honour for Dr. C.N. Manjunath, who recently retired as the Director of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru on Feb. 26, at Kalamandira in the city.

This was decided during a meeting of various organisations of Vokkaliga community and other communities convened at Jaladarshini Guest House here, recently.

The leaders who aired their opinions at the meeting said “With his yeoman service, Dr. Manjunath has touched upon people irrespective of community. To value the services rendered by him to the society, a befitting honour should be accorded to Dr. Manjunath, that should also portray his numerous achievements. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji and other dignitaries of the society should be invited for                                                    the ceremony.”

Several thousands of people from Mysuru and surrounding districts are expected to turn up for the event. Adequate arrangements should be made for the smooth going of the event, along with food and other arrangements for the grand success of the event.

Kaveesh Gowda, Janata Dal (Secular) Spokesperson N.R. Ravichandre Gowda, former Chairman of Karnataka State Women’s Commission Manjula Manasa, Hema Nandish, Neha Naina, Satish Javaregowda, Chetan, Harsha, Satish Gowda, Manju, Gokul Govardhan and leaders of other organisations were present.
