Mysuru District officers in Bengaluru to extend invites to Governor, Dy.CM, Judges, Cabinet Ministers; Invitation extended to In-charge Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Sept. 28
Mysuru: As Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara 2026 draws closer, the District Administration has begun an invitation-spree, calling on dignitaries, including Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, to attend the festivities.
The first official Dasara invitation was extended to Mysuru District Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah on the evening of Sept. 28 at the newly built residence of his father and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Kuvempunagar.
Dr. Yathindra was in Mysuru to attend the breakfast meeting organised for Mahouts and Kavadis at the Mysore Palace premises and he later inaugurated the Yuva Sambhrama at Kuvempu Open-Air Theatre. The invitation was handed over to him by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner and Dasara Special Officer G. Lakshmikanth Reddy and a team of officials.

Before the event on that day, the officials had visited Chamundi Hill Temple and sought the deity’s blessings for the successful conduct of Dasara. The invitation was placed before the deity and a puja was performed.
Invite to CM
This morning, Dr. Yathindra led a delegation of officials from the Dasara Reception Sub-Committee to Bengaluru and called on Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at his Sadashivanagar residence to extend the formal invitation.
Dr. Yathindra personally handed over the invitation letter to the CM on behalf of the District Administration. A copy of the Dasara invitation, containing the tentative schedule of events, was also presented to him.

The invitation was extended today as the CM was in New Delhi for meetings with senior Congress leaders and had asked the officials to coordinate with the District Minister. The CM’s Office subsequently allotted time for them to meet him.
Other dignitaries
The District Minister and the team of officials are camping in Bengaluru to extend invitations to the Governor, former CM Siddaramaiah, other Cabinet Ministers, senior officials, Judges and Judicial officers.
Dr. Yathindra also met Dy.CM Dr. G. Parameshwara in Bengaluru today and extended the formal invitation to him.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) S. Ukesh Kumar, Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, Additional Deputy Commissioner R. Aishwarya and Chamundeshwari Temple Development Authority Secretary M.J. Roopa, among other senior officers, were present.
Meanwhile, the team will visit Gavimutt in Koppal on Oct. 3 at 11 am to formally invite Sri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji to inaugurate the Dasara festivities on Oct. 11.
