CM forms teams for by-polls

With prestige at stake for the Congress in the Nanjangud and Gundlupet by-poll, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has formed separate teams comprising of his Cabinet Ministers, to ensure the victory of Congress candidates in both the seats.

While PWD Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa has been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring Congress candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy’s win in Nanjangud, Energy Minister D.K. Shivakumar and water resources Minister M.B. Patil have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the win of Congress candidate Geetha Mahadevaprasad in Gundlupet by-poll.

Along with Dr. Mahadevappa, senior Congress leader and former KPCC President Allum Veerabhadrappa, Health Minister Ramesh Kumar, Social Welfare Minister H. Anjaneya, Women and Child Welfare Minister Umashree, Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy, Planning and Statistics Minister M.R. Seetharam, Housing Minister M. Krishnappa, Agriculture Minister S.S. Mallikarjun, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait and State’s special representative in Delhi Appaji Nadagouda have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring Keshavamurthy’s win in Nanjangud.

As far as Gundlupet is concerned, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Urban Development Minister Roshan Baig, Food and Civil Supplies Minister U.T. Khader, Excise Minister Vinay Kulkarni, Animal Husbandry Minister A. Manju, Small Scale Industries Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, Municipal Administration Minister Eshwar Khandre, Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil, Fisheries and Ports Minister Pramod Madhwaraj and senior leader S.R. Patil have                been asked to work along with Ministers D.K. Shivakumar and M.B. Patil, for ensuring the victory of the party candidate Geetha Mahadevaprasad.
