Mysuru: Did Chief Minister Siddharamaiah himself direct the then DGP-Prisons to provide all five-star facilities to V.K. Sasikala, the close aide of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa in the Parappana Agrahara Jail?
This shocking revelation was made by the then DGP Sathyanarayana Rao before the investigation agency probing into the matter. However, as soon as this news came out, the CM has personally dismissed the claim and said that he had only directed the DGP to provide the facilities according to the Jail manual.
A delegation from TN had approached him complaining that Sasikala had not been given proper facilities. Based on the complaint, he had given this directions and never asked the jail authorities to provide her with five star facilities, the CM said. ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) has been given the responsibility of investigating the allegations of irregularities in the Central Prison.
