Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court (HC) challenging the acceptance of the ‘B Report’ submitted by the Mysuru Lokayukta Police in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife B.M. Parvathi, brother-in-law B.M. Mallikarjunaswamy and others.
The petition questions the order of the Special Court for People’s Representatives in Bengaluru, which had accepted the Lokayukta Police report.
The case relates to alleged irregularities in the allotment of MUDA sites. A private complainant, Snehamayi Krishna, had earlier challenged the acceptance of the ‘B Report’, following which notices were issued to the respondents.
The Mysuru Lokayukta SP had submitted the ‘B Report’ to the 82nd Additional City Civil and Sessions Court (Special Court for People’s Representatives) in Bengaluru on Feb. 12, 2025. The Court accepted the report and issued its order on Jan. 28, 2026.
In its petition, the ED has sought that the High Court set aside the order accepting the ‘B Report’, review the Lokayukta Police findings and transfer the investigation to an independent agency. It has also requested that a fresh probe be conducted and a new report be submitted.
The ED has named Mysuru District Lokayukta SP, CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, brother-in-law Mallikarjunaswamy, landowner J. Devaraju and former MUDA Commissioner G.T. Dinesh Kumar as respondents in the petition.
Meanwhile, speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Snehamayi Krishna said the relief granted to the CM’s family was only temporary and claimed that he possessed substantial evidence against the accused. He also urged that action should be taken against the Lokayukta officials who filed the ‘B Report.’
