CM to inaugurate slew of development works in Mandya today

Mandya:  Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will launch a slew of development works across Mandya District this evening.

The CM who will arrive at the VC Farm helipad at 1. 20 pm, will lay the foundation stone for a new bus stand at Shivalli at 2.30 pm, following which he will launch the works aimed at feeding water to 54 water bodies at a programme to be held at the Government PU College in Dudda.

The CM will later lay the foundation stone for a bus stand at Jakkanahalli on Pandavapura –Nagamangala Road at 4.20 pm, following which he will launch various developmental works related to Melukote Assembly Constituency at the Melukote TB at 4.45 pm, after which he will hold a meeting with officials.

Later, Kumaraswamy will take part in Kere Tonnur Utsava at Kere Tonnur in Pandavapura Taluk at 6.15 pm and will leave for Bengaluru by road at 8 pm.

Mandya District In-charge Minister C.S. Puttaraju, PWD Minister H.D. Revanna, Transport Minister D.C. Thammanna, Higher Education Minister G.T. Devegowda, Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh, MLAs of the district and other people representatives will be present.

Arati puja at Kere Tonnur Lake tomorrow

For the first time, Arati puja and cultural programmes will take place at Kere Tonnur Lake at 4.30 pm tomorrow (Nov.24). On Nov. 25, noted singer Vijaya Prakash and team will present a musical nite at 4.30 pm.

District Minister C.S. Puttaraju will preside.
