Mysuru: A toy cluster being established on 450 acres land in Koppal will generate around 20,000 jobs, opined Major Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar.
Speaking to reporters here yesterday, he said that unique toys would be manufactured in that cluster. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will lay the foundation for the toy cluster soon. The Koppal district was known for manufacturing famous ‘Kinnala’ toys, which were sold across the country. Establishing the cluster would benefit thousands of families which are into toy making for many decades.
Shettar said that after lifting of lockdown, the State Government had been successful in job creation. The industrial growth has surpassed all expectations. Out of Rs.3.50 lakh crore expected from Foreign Direct Investment in the country, Rs.1.40 lakh crore investment was expected in Karnataka. The migrant workers have returned to the State from their hometown and joined duty in their respective industries. Lakhs of job aspirants have arrived in the State and skill training was being imparted for them, he added.
Preparations were on for vaccination of people to check spread of Coronavirus. It was not correct for Opposition parties to criticise the State Government for everything and anything. Instead they must join hands with the Government for development of State, Shettar said.
