Collection of excess parking fees at Brindavan Gardens

March 25, 2018

Sir,

With reference to the above subject, my letter had appeared in these columns on 22.05.2015, almost two and a half years ago where I had written about the excess parking fee collected by the staff of toll and parking fee collection centres at Brindavan Gardens.

Recently I had been to Brindavan Gardens once again on a four-wheeler and I was dismayed to find that the situation has not changed and has remained the same. At the collection centre, the staff asked me to pay Rs. 30 as parking fee. I firmly told them that I’ll pay only Rs. 25 in accordance with the display board. Then the person promptly issued me a parking ticket for Rs. 25 and I paid the same and entered the Gardens.

This shows the aapathy of the authorities of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited, Mysuru. I appeal the authorities to protect the visitors from being exploited.
