Colourful ‘Dasara Yuva Sambhrama’ draws to a close

Mysuru:  ‘Dasara Yuva Sambhrama’ concluded last evening at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri here with students of various colleges presenting theme-based dances and to top it all was comedy presentation provided by the cute little Achintya of Drama Juniors fame.

Students of Seva Bharathi FGC, Chamarajanagar presented a dance to the songs Kannada Nadina Jeevanadi Ee Kaveri and Banda Banda Megharaja Namma Oora Kerege highlighting the importance water  and forests.

Students of Ashiyan School of Mentally Challenged, Nitya Nirantara School for Physically Challenged, Nisarga PU College, Kollegal and Government FGC, Periyapatna, danced to the songs Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku, Shilegalu Sangeethava Haadive and other numbers highlighting the richness of the State culture.

Students of Government Girls PU College, Hunsur, presented a dance-drama showcasing the ills of a male chauvinistic society, continued harassment of women and ability and courage of women when situation demands.

The excellent delivery of a humorous dialogue ‘Kila Kila, na barakilla…’ ‘Anthamma yellru auto driver ago munche Shankarannana fan Kano’ by the cute Achintya received a thunderous applause from the audience.

National Boxing coach and Dronacharya Awardee C.A. Kuttappa from Kodagu was felicitated on the occasion by SP Amit Singh. Yuva Dasara Sub-Committee Working President M.N. Nataraj and Secretary D.B. Lingannaiah were present.
