For communal harmony…: One kilometre long human chain formation on Jan.30

Mysuru: Pragatipara Sanghatanegalu at its meeting held yesterday at a private hotel in city decided to form a mammoth human chain stretching about one kilometre on Jan.30 in city to condemn the frequent communal clashes in the State spoiling peace and harmony.

The human chain will be formed from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple stretching up to Fountain Circle at 3 pm on Jan.30 to send a warning signal to people inciting communal  clashes.

The meeting condemned the derogatory remarks alleged recently by Union Minister Anant Kumar Hegde and other BJP leaders on various topics.

The meeting was chaired by CPI(M) District Secretary K. Basavaraj. Pragatipara Sanghatanegalu Members Prof. K.S. Bhagawan, Dr. Lakshminarayan, Zakir Hussain, Jagadish Surya, L. Jaganath, G. Jayaram, K.S. Shivaram and others attended the meeting.
