Mysore/Mysuru: City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta said that we should aim at achieving big in life and draw inspiration for contributing something to the society.

He was delivering a virtual address as the guest of honour at the valedictory of the 50-day coaching classes for Bank Exams conducted by the KSOU’s Competitive Exams Coaching Centre on Monday.

Noting that the KSOU had organised online coaching classes at a time when academic activities had come to a standstill for the past several months due to the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Chandragupta said that every candidate should test his mental and intellectual ability ahead of appearing for competitive exams.

Stating that it is important for every candidate to ascertain where he can stand with other candidates in competitive exams, he said that the present day is witnessing cut-throat competition for every job available. Highlighting the importance of making preparations for facing challenges, the Police Commissioner underlined the need for not letting go any opportunity for learning. 

Pointing out that acquiring knowledge is most crucial for achieving success in competitive exams, he asked the students to first set their goals before taking any exam.

Canara Bank Regional Deputy General Manager I. Panduranga Mitantaya, who was the chief guest, said that Banking jobs are getting more attractive than any other jobs now a days.

Pointing out that entry to Banking job means growth to higher levels, he asked the candidates to give more attention to Banking sector, as it provides ample opportunities for career growth.

KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar, in his address, said that the University’s Competitive Exams Coaching Centre has already conducted online coaching classes for five competitive exams and more than 500 aspirants have already registered for the 60-day IAS/KAS exam coaching classes to be held online.

Referring to academic coaching, he said that the KSOU has decided to conduct all its academic courses fully online starting from January 2021.

KSOU Registrar Prof. Lingaraj Gandhi, Competitive Exams Coaching Centre Co-ordinator Jainahalli  Sathyanarayanagowda, Canara Bank Officer S. Radhakrishna and other officials were present during the valedictory of the coaching classes.
