Mysuru: To build confidence among voters and to warn anti-social elements, the City Police, under the leadership of DCP (Law and Order) M. Muthuraj, conducted Route March yesterday and today.

The areas covered are NR, Mandi, Udayagiri, Vijayanagar, Ashokapuram, Vidyaranyapuram and Kuvempunagar Police limits.

Apart from the jurisdictional Policemen, personal attached to the Commando Force, Mounted Police, Central Armed Police Force, City Armed Reserve Police and patrol vehicles like Cheetah, Garuda, Interceptor were also included in the Route March.

At Hunsur

The State Police, assisted by personnel of Border Security Force (BSF), took out a Route March in the town yesterday to instil confidence among voters and ensure a smooth polling on LS elections day.

The Route March was led by Circle Inspector Shivakumar, BSF Inspector Sangeetha Raj, Town Police SI Mahesh and Rural Police SI Shivaprasad.
