Bengaluru: With the May10 Assembly polls just a week away, the Congress on Tuesday expelled 24 party leaders including three former MLAs from the primary membership of the party for 6 years, for having revolted against the party and contesting the polls as rebel candidates.
Those expelled are: former MLAs Ramakrishna Doddamani (Shirahatti), B.B. Ramaswamy Gowda (Kunigal) and H.P. Rajesh (Jagalur), KPCC General Secretary and daughter of former Deputy Chief Minister Late M.P. Prakash, Latha Mallikarjun (Harapanahalli), Krishnegowda (Arakalgud), KPCC Co-ordinator Chandra Singh (Bidar South), Chikkamagalur DCC Vice-President Gopikrishna (Tarikere), Irfan Talikote (Khanapur), Padmajit Nadagouda (Teradal), Basavaraj Malkari (Hubballi-Dharwad West), Umadevi (Nelamangala), Yousuf Ali Jamdar (Bidar South), Narayan Bangi (Bidar South), Vijaykumar Barur (Bidar South), Savita Mallesh Nayak (Mayakonda), P.H. Chandrashekar (Srirangapatna), Putta Anjanappa (Sidlaghatta), Shambhu Kolkar (Raibag), B.H. Bhimappa (Shivamogga Rural), S.P. Nagaraj Gouda (Shikaripura), Dornal Parameshwarappa (Tarikere), Shashi Chowdhi (Bidar), Lashman Sorali (Aurad) and Mujeebuddin (Raichur city).
