Congress launches ‘Mane Manege Congress’ programme in city

Mysuru: The Congress on Saturday launched ‘Mane Manege Congress’ (Congress for every home) programme to inform people about its achievements.

Speaking after launching the programme at Nanneshwara Temple in Hinkal coming under Chamundeshwari Assembly segment, District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa said that the programme was aimed at informing households about Government schemes such as  Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, Pashu Bhagya, Arogya Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Vasathi Bhagya, Vidya Siri, Midday meals, scholarships etc.

Accusing the BJP of disturbing social harmony by dividing people on religious and caste lines, Dr. Mahadevappa said that the Minorities, Dalits and other oppressed sections of the society were under threat under the BJP rule at the Centre.

Maintaining that the Siddharamaiah Government had fulfilled most of the promises, he called upon the party workers to explain to the people about various welfare schemes and programmes.

The Minister further said that the party workers will distribute booklets containing the Government’s performance to all households.

Former MLA M. Satyanarayan, Congress leaders Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah, K. Marigowda, Koorgalli Mahadev, Rakesh Papanna, Arun Kumar, District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijay Kumar, Corporator J.S. Jagadish and others were present.
