Mahila Dasara: Kids of women entrepreneurs and SHGs present cultural programme

Mysuru: As part of Mahila Dasara, a cultural programme was organised at J.K. Grounds here yesterday.

Children of women entrepreneurs and Self Help Groups (SHG) presented the cultural programme featuring solo and group dances to rhythmic folk songs and modern hits.

Inaugurating the programme, Manjula Manasa, former Chairperson, State Women’s Commission, commending the women entrepreneurs observed that women were no longer confined to four walls of the kitchen. She pointed out that though 50% of the nation’s population was women, social recognition and justice for women was yet to be achieved in total. She advised women to make good use to Government schemes.

Mahila Dasara Sub-Committee President Latha Mohan, Working President K. Radha, Vice-Presidents Susheela Marigowda and Indirani Prabha were present on the occasion.
