Congress leader donates Oxygen Concentrators

Mysore/Mysuru: Contributing his mite for the Corona affected, Congress leader K. Harish Gowda donated Oxygen Concentrators and other medical equipment to COVID Mitra centres at a programme organised at Seth Mohandas Tulsidas Hospital on JLB Road here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion,  Harish Gowda said that the deadly Coronavirus has pushed everyone to a lot of hardship. Noting that he was inspired by the appeals made by KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar and Opposition leader Siddharamaiah for help during COVID crisis, Harish Gowda said he has donated three Oxygen Concentrators, three BiPAPs and other medical equipment to the Hospital. Pointing out that the society has given him everything, he said that he was committed to give something back to the society as gratitude. 

“I will serve the society more in the coming days under the guidance of Congress leaders of the district,” he added.

Varuna MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah, who along with H.D. Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu handed over the equipment to MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh, said that the second wave of Corona attack is more aggressive than the first one, with many people losing their lives to the deadly virus. 

Maintaining that most of the Hospitals in the city and district were facing shortage of beds, ICUs and ventilators, Dr. Yathindra lauded the efforts of Harish Gowda in donating life saving medical equipment in these critical times. 

District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar, COVID Care Centre In-Charge Col. Ashok Kumar, Corporator J. Gopi, Dr. Bhargav, Dr. Ravi, TP member Kumar, leader Pailwan Mahadev and others were present.
