Congress offices in all four Assembly segments

April 5, 2021

Mysuru: Varuna Congress MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah, who is Mysuru District in-Charge of the  party’s landed properties and other assets, has directed the party functionaries to have separate offices for all four Assembly segments of the city, including Chamundeshwari constituency.

Addressing party office-bearers and other top leaders of the district at a private hotel here on Saturday, Dr. Yathindra directed the party leaders to take out a building for rent or lease in all the four Assembly segments by the end of this month.

Pointing out that barring Hunsur Assembly segment, the Congress does not have an office of its own in rest of the other Assembly segments in the district, Dr. Yathindra said that, however, the party is functioning from rented premises in some parts of the district.

Noting that there is no party office in Varuna, T. Narasipur, Chamundeshwari and K.R. Nagar Assembly segments, he said that in Nanjangud, the Congress is functioning from a room let out by a party leader. He instructed the party leaders to source suitable places for locating the party offices in all Assembly segments of the  district by Apr. 30.

District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar said that the KPCC will provide Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of the building wherever the party owns land. The rest of the funds required for the construction will be collected from party workers and leaders, he said and added that having a spacious party office will help for having a better connectivity with people.

He also called upon the party workers to gear up for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) and Taluk Panchayat (TP) polls as it is crucial for the Assembly polls to take place  in two years.

MLAs H.P. Manjunath and Anil Chikkamadu, MLC R. Dharmasena, leaders K. Marigowda, Kalale Keshavamurthy, Basavaraju and others  were present.
