Conman who targeted poor patients arrested

June 27, 2017

Mysuru: A man, who used to target poor patients by fleecing them, has been arrested yesterday by Devaraja Police. He has been identified as 30-year-old Arun Kumar, a resident of Bogadi village in Mysuru taluk.

Arun used to visit K.R. Hospital and used to target poor patients especially those who come from rural areas. He used to tell them that he would help them in undergoing tests for a fee of Rs. 50 and 100. Unaware of his intentions, villagers used to pay money for all the tests that they would otherwise get free of cost.

The accused was spotted taking money by Resident Medical Officer Dr. Rajesh near the blood check-up section. When enquired, Dr. Rajesh realised that Arun was a conman and handed him over to the Police.
