MoU with private hospitals for credit facility to CFTRI employees and pensioners
Mysuru: The 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of CSIR – Pensioners’ Welfare Association (CPWA) and convention on ‘Food and Wellness,’ was held in city recently.
Speaking after inaugurating the convention, CFTRI Director Dr. K.S.M.S. Raghav Rao said that steps were being taken to provide benefits to pensioners and added that agreements have been done with private hospitals and health insurance is also being provided.
He further that CFTRI and three private hospitals in city have signed the agreement for credit facility besides stating that the process of MoU between another three hospitals is under process and it will be completed soon. In addition, another two hospitals are willing to join CFTRI, he said.
Treatment under credit facility will be provided in accordance with the entitlement, as per Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers tariff and other tariff, applicable by the Union government from time to time on Credit basis for outpatient, day care, inpatient, medical surgery and treatment, including diagnosis, tests, investigations, prescription among others.
Dr. Raghav Rao listed out various other projects awarded to the CFTRI by the Union as well as the State Governments.
Speaking on the occasion, former CFTRI Director Dr. V. Prakash called upon private and government food industries to use Information Technology and provide Food and Nutrition Technology and to the public besides suggesting government food industries to manufacture food products required to senior citizens.
CPWA Mysuru President Dr. N. Krishnamurthy, National Vice-President Dr. P.V. Sane, Chief Scientist CSIR- CFTRI Dr. R. Subramanium, Secretary Dr. Renu Agrawal, President Emeritus Dr. V.P. Kamboj, National President Dr. P.K. Seth, National General Secretary Dr. J.K. Johri and others were present.
