Mysuru: Two Police constables and two others sustained injuries when a car driven by another Police Constable rammed into them near Vontikoppal Sri Lakshmi Venkataramanaswamy Temple, opposite Brigade Apartments on KRS Road, in the early hours of today.
The injured Constables have been identified as Yogesh from V.V. Puram Police Station and Jagadish from the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Police force, while the other two injured individuals are Chandru and Raju from Bannur. All four were treated at a nearby private hospital and later discharged.
The incident occurred during a routine vehicle check conducted by V.V. Puram Civil Police on KRS Road near Vontikoppal Police Station last night.
At around 3 am today, Ashok, a Constable attached to Devaraja Police Station, was driving a Maruti Swift car (KA-41-P-7919) from the KRS Road side and lost control of the vehicle, ramming into the Constables and the two civilians.
The impact left them injured, and they were immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
VV Puram Traffic Police arrived at the scene, seized the vehicle and registered a case.
