Mysore/Mysuru: With the Government enforcing a 14-day COVID Curfew, the University of Mysore has issued guidelines to all its staff  on office attendance and work during this period.

In a circular issued on Tuesday, University Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa said that the heads of all Post-Graduate Departments, faculty and Principals of constituent colleges should function according to the guidelines.

Pointing out that all these officials should mandatorily come to their Departments for work, he said that, if necessary, other  staff can be asked to come for work at the office.

Noting that Professors can take online classes from their homes, Prof. Shivappa said that such faculty who do not have the necessary infrastructure in their homes, can come to their Departments and conduct  online classes.

As far as Group-B staff are concerned, the Registrar said that such staff should mandatorily attend office on all working days from 10am to 2pm till May 11.

In respect of Group-C and other category staff, the circular said that they should come to the office whenever their superiors ask them to come in case of  urgent works.

The circular further said that the concerned staff attending duties regarding issue and acceptance of documents, should come to the office and complete their work or task in time.

Also, all the faculty and staff are required to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour while on duty and adhere to other guidelines issued by the Government from time to time.
