Nanjangud: A cowherd suffered serious injuries when a wild boar attacked him at Konanur village in the  taluk yesterday.

The injured is K.S. Parashivappa, of Konanur village.

He was grazing his cows at his land near Sri Katte Mahadeshwara Temple on the outskirts of the village, when the wild boar suddenly attacked him resulting in Parashivappa suffering serious injuries on his hands and legs. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Chamarajanagar.

The matter was informed to the Forest Department officials and Nanjangud Deputy Forest Officer Shashikumar has assured of getting compensation.
