Mysore/Mysuru: District Kannada Sahitya Parishat in association with Tara Publications has organised a book release function at Parishat auditorium in Vijayanagar here on Dec. 31 at 10.30 am.

Noted writer Prof. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) will be releasing three books — Sahitya Samvedane, Sahitya Vimarshe and Raja Tarangini of Kalhana — penned by Director of Oriental Research Institute, University of Mysore, Dr. S. Shivarajappa. 

Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna will preside. Noted poet Dr. Jayappa Honnali will be speaking about the books. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda will be the chief guest. Author Dr. S. Shivarajappa and Publisher M.N. Shashikumar will be present, according to a                  press release.

District Kannada Sahitya Parishat too has organised a book release function at the Sahitya Bhavan premises in Vijayanagar 1st Stage here on Dec. 30 at 10.30 am. 

MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD) will be releasing two books — Kalaavalokana and Mane Managala Kathe — written by  Senior Journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar. Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna will preside. Kannada Book Authority  Chairman M.N. Nandish Hanche will be the chief guest. Senior Theatre Artiste Prof. H.S. Umesh and Assistant Professor of Government First Degree College, Gundlupet, Govindaraju Lakshmipura will be speaking about the books. Author Amshi Prasanna Kumar and Publisher   Srinivas of Mahima Publications will be participating in the event.
