Creating a plastic-free environment

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday celebrations, members of Mysuru City BJP Yuva Morcha had organised an awareness programme with a slogan ‘Shun Plastic Bags, Use Paper Bags’ and distributed free paper bags to street vendors at Chikka Gadiyara (Dufferin Clock) Circle on Tuesday.

In order to create awareness among people over plastic-free environment, members of BJP Yuva Morcha distributed paper bags to customers and vendors of Devaraja Market, requesting them not to use plastic bags. 

The participants were seen holding posters wishing the PM on his birthday and also spreading the message of creating plastic-free environment. 

BJP Mysuru City President T.S. Srivatsa, City Spokesperson Mahesh, City Yuva Morcha President M.J. Kiran Gowda, BJP State Yuva Morcha’s Dheeraj Prasad and Jaishankar, BJP leaders Ramesh, Giridhar, Vanish, Bharath, D. Lohit, Madhu, Harsha, Sachin and others were present on the occasion.
