Cricket betting: Seven arrested, Rs. 3,530 cash, 9 mobile phones, TV seized

Mysuru: Saraswathipuram Police, acting on a tip off, raided a house on the 8th Cross, 4th Main in Saraswathipuram near Kamakshi Hospital and arrested seven persons on charges on indulging in cricket betting and have seized Rs. 3,530 cash, nine mobile phones and a TV set from the house.

The arrested persons have been identified as Amarnath, Srihari, Sunil and Anil, all residents of Saraswathipuram, Deepak and Mohan of K.G. Koppal and Karna of Devaraja Mohalla.

KR ACP C. Mallik supervised Saraswathipuram Inspector K.C. Poovaiah, SI N. Mohan and staff K.T. Manjunath, Basavarajeurs, Karigowda, Prakash, Manjunath, Kantharaju and Chikkanna in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation.
